Well at last the big day has arrived, well early am. We ar hoping to set sail at approx 0300hrs Fri 29th. All the equipment has been tested and at last it is all working. The broad plan is to sail down to the ESE coast o Sth Ireland and then round the corner to the Sth, where we stay a while to stock up on grub etc wait for good weather and sail out to 15 degrees before arcing over Biscay to Portugal. We are not sure at the moment where we shall make land. We do hope to keep in touch via this forum.

Excellent,

Do report in when you can and keep us up to date with your progress and let us know how the boat is performing.

Just wanted to wish you all the best for your new life as liveaboards.
Forgive us for still using Shania's name on this website, suppose we should re-register.
We hope she sails well, keeps you safe and brings you as much enjoyment as she did us.
Fair winds & happy landings.
Regards Stephen & Suella & Iain (ex-Shania owners....sob.sob....)

Hi to all, (especially to Stephen and Suella). We have safely crossed from Scotland to Ireland and have sailed down the coast to the South and are moored in the lovely City of Wexford. Very very nice 12 mile up stream into the heart of the city marina very cheap and CHEAP diesel. We shall leave Sat 13th and set of to cross the Bay of Biscay. Shania sails well  and is a very comfortable boat. We were in a storm of Scotland and noticed that the pressure from the waves on the side forced water in through the bilge pump of the engine bay. We have now fitted a non return valve and hopefully this will stop it. If not well I shall just have to mop it up.
Shall keep in touch. Thanks for messages. Keep them coming in.
